A portrait of my children once a week every week in 2013.
A short hike in the middle of February (but we'll take what we can get). Our local state park has a small raptor center with a dozen or so usually injured birds. Visiting them required a short hike, reminding us all of how much we miss being in Australia where going for bush walks was an option any day of the year!

    1. It's been tough. We love much about the new place (our jobs and people), but the background to our life , the environment, leaves something to be desired. I soooo miss the beach! And being able to go for a bush walk whenever and being able to take the kids to the park any day of the year.

  3. I love the expression on your older child's face! Nice to find another veggie mama out there too. :)

    1. Manda, thanks- Siena takes her wing span measurements rather seriously:) Yes, it is always nice to find other veggie mamas- we are half vegan (grown ups) and half vegetarian (kids)...
